Mani Monday: Moar Drunk Stamping! Revenge of the Stamper....

*purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
Welcome back to another installment of Mani Monday! Today I am featuring a lovely polish from Literary Lacquers, Lake of Shining Waters. Due to being drunk from my stamping success last week I decided to go ahead and stamp again. Because with one success there has to be another right??
Cause one success equals an automatic success right?
I love Literary Lacquers Lake of Shining Waters is a gorgeous teal linear holographic polish so of course white would pop fantastically against it. So I painted my nails with Lake of Shining Waters and I was like...
This polish totally looked AMAZING.
And then I had the dilemma that I wanted to stamp on top of this polish..
Technically, it wasn't repainting my nails but the stamper was steadily giving me shots of courage..
So, I finally decided to go ahead a stamp on top of this polish I was drunk with stamping courage so with tears in my eyes I took up the stamper with a mission to make this polish look fabulous.
I was both nervous and drunk with stamping anticipation...
Then I picked up the stamper and then the stamper betrayed me...
My stamper totally acted like this towards me.
While this polish is truly amazing, my stamping is not. While it is a learning curve....
Just look at the polish and not focus on my craptacular stamping...

You will also have to forgive the crappy indoor lighting. It has been raining for two days straight so I don't have any awesome natural light to capture the beautiful holo effect.

I used :
Nail Trek II
Bundle Monster Plate 212

While this isn't as bad as some of my other stamping attempts I really wished that I had put the stamper down and left this polish alone cause it is simply beautiful. You can purchase Lake of Shining Waters from Literary Lacquers on Etsy.  You can also follow her on Facebook and Instagram as well. She is also having a 2 year anniversary giveaway that you still have time for to enter! Quick! Head over to Literary Lacquer's Facebook and enter!I hope that you enjoyed this installment of Mani Monday (and my drunk stamping) and until next time lovelies!

Don't judge a polish from my bad stamping job go check it out for yourself

In the Pursuit of Fabulous: Review of Moon Princess Lashes and Flower Powder Brush Kabuki from the Born Pretty Store!

*press sample*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again today this time with a review of some awesome goodies from the Born Pretty Store. While I could have sworn that I wrote a blog post up about these before I can't seem to locate it and due to all of the wedding planning chaos the post could have disappeared on the hard drive. Three weekends to go until I can reclaim my sanity and not have to plan any wedding stuff EVER again. I also wanted to upload a video review for both of these items but I am in dire need of a tripod since I CAN'T handle the shaky camera review. It drives me nuts personally so I won't do it. So hopefully soon I will get a tripod and get back to making videos and tutorials again since I miss it. But enough about that, on to the pretties!

I picked out two items from the Born Pretty Store to review. From the time I placed my order until I got the goodies in my hot little hands was about three weeks which is pretty good considering that this was an international order. I was super thrilled to get some new lashes since some of my pairs where in dire need of replacement. While they are labeled "Moon Princess Fashion Lashes" they are listed on the Born Pretty Site as Handmade False Eyelashes #D-3.   Th

Individual lash! Look at the length and thickness!

While lashes look great in the package I want to see them on to get a better picture of how they would look on me. So here are some looks done with these gorgeous lashes!

While these lashes may look super dramatic in the packaging they can be used for everyday wear and with more neutral based looks. They look amazingly  natural and will compliment any look.  They are priced at $8.69 at the Born Pretty Store and while essentially I thought that was expensive for a pair of lashed they are completely worth it. I totally need another pair for the wedding.

Next, we have the Mini Lovely Floral Powder Blush Brush with Free Cosmetic Bag. which lists on the site as $9.76 which is pretty great for a kabuki brush

I was concerned that there would be an issue with the floral design of this kabuki with possible streaking and uneven application of blush. However, there was no problem whatsoever. It works wonderfully whether you are applying blush, contouring, applying finishing powder or applying mineral makeup. It is super soft however still firm enough to get the job done. This is my first ever kabuki brush and now I need to have more one! You can pick up this brush, lashes and many more goodies at the Born Pretty Store. Be sure to use the discount code KLH10 for 10% off your order and free shipping! I hope that you enjoyed this review! Until next time lovelies!

Mani Monday: MOAR Drunk Stamping...Holy Crap I STAMPED!

*purchased*
Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with MOAR Drunk Stamping!Surprisingly enough, this isn't an indie post! But I was looking for some colors to do a new polish and nothing seemed to catch my eye. However I did have some nice Sinful colors that caught my eye. However, I couldn't decide on which one I wanted to use. So, I had tried a gradient polished look before so I figured that I would give it another try since it had been several months since I last attempted it. So I gathered up the polishes and the various other clean up supplies, top coats and base coat and I was ready to go..

That's right I was going to do a bad ass gradient polish..
Then apparently, since I was feeling like an invincible bad ass  and drunk with polish power I figured why not go ahead and throw some stamping on top of some gradient nails? I had gotten a new stamper so this was the BEST time to try it out! I just knew it was going to be..
My nails were gonna ROCK!

Needless to say I was pretty damn pleased with how my nails came out. I won't lie there were a couple of times that I had to remove the stamp and do it all over again BUT I really liked how they turned out. Just take a peek....

While my stamping obviously needs work I am pretty damn pleased...
I used the following this for this fabulous gradient stamped look
Nail Trek II
Sinful Colors Mint Apple
Sinful Colors Rise & Shine
Sinful Colors Savage
White Stamping Polish from BornPrettyStore (use code KLH10 for 10% off your purchase)
Bundle Monster Stamping Plate BM19

While this isn't the best stamping I have seen out there, it is the best that I have done and it makes me feel pretty frickin fabulous staring that my stamping job.

I totally feel like this moth when I look at my nails.

Bonus photo! While I was outside contorting my fingers trying to get the best polish shot, I had a beautiful little visitor come out and inspect my nails. Okay, maybe he didn't inspect them but I had to take a photo of him cause his tail was simply gorgeous and possibly my next gradient attempt.
Yup, my tail is as fabulous as that moth!
However, my polish assistant was not amused with having his photo taken...

Well, I hope that you enjoyed this Mani Monday installment of Drunk Stamping! While I am not delusional in thinking that I am an expert stamper. I possibly can raise my status from a raging falling down drunk stamper to possibly an AbFab Patsy Stamper if this stamping streak keeps up. So until next time lovelies!

Yup, it is time to have a drink to celebrate my stamping skillz!

A Dreadful Bit of Information: Autumn Tag 2014

Hello Lovelies!
I was browsing through some of the blogs that I frequent and I saw this Autumn Tag which I thought was a really neat way to get to know your blogger more.( I actually saw this on ToxidLotus)So I figured that I would go ahead and participate and those of you that DO read my blog are tagged as well. Autumn is the time of year where the leaves turn color and the weather gets cooler except for places like Florida which is exactly where I am located. While other people are busting out sweaters and hoodies we are still rocking sandals, short sleeves and shorts. So,when we finally bust out the jeans and the sweaters it is ass cold so I can only vicariously dream and remember when I lived in places with four actual seasons.

Yeah, we go from Summer to Winter and totally miss out in Florida.

1. Now we are talking coffees- What is your favorite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/ Cafe Nero etc?

Yup you may want to sit down for this.

Now some of you may want to sit down and take a breath because you are going to loose your shit. I don't drink coffee. I can't stand it, stomach it no matter what I have tried it with I just can't do it.  Most of my friends think I am an alien since I don't have coffee running through my veins like they do. However, I do enjoy the weather being colder so I have an excuse to drink more tea some of my favorites include Earl Grey, British Breakfast, and Irish Breakfast with half and half and sugar.

2.Accessories- what do you opt for scarf, boots, gloves?
When it does finally get cold enough for something other than shorts. I love scarves, boots and gloves since my hands area ALWAYS cold. However once fall hits I get back into crochet, yup that is right I crochet and shit (cause when you add and shit to the end of anything it makes it super bad ass than it all ready is), more and who knows I may actually attempt to learn how to knit this year. So an infinity scarf and some hats are in the works for this fall,

3. Music- What is your favorite music to listen to during Autumn?
While I don't particularly have  a favorite kind of music to listen to during autumn I like to dig out my classical music as well as Phantom of the Opera (my favorite musical) to listen to. However, during the fall I LOVE reading horror novels and watch horror movies. Something about the cold and the long dark nights makes me want to wrap myself in spooky darkness.

4.Perfume- What is your favorite scent for this time of year?
For fall and winter I really enjoy musks and more earthy scents. Cathedral from Black Violet is quickly becoming my seasonal favorite.

5.Candles- What scents will you be burning this year?
PUMPKIN EVERYTHING! All things pumpkin and apple are currently burning in my house and I love being able to open all the windows and have the fresh air circulating as well.

OMG PUMPKIN CANDLES!

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
I love that the weather is cooler (no matter how slight it is) , all the halloween collections that are out and of course that the nights are longer.

7. Favorite Makeup Look?
While I don't have a favorite makeup look for Fall I love all the new Halloween collections that come out at this time of year.
I have to pick one?

8.What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
Getting officially married and going trick or treating with my little Dreadfuls. Corny and mushy as it may be, those are the two things I am looking forward to. Cheesy I know and I should be dreading the sugar intake...
Just imagine three little people acting just like this about candy.

So now I have done my first tag if you are reading this you are tagged and be sure to tag me and let me know. What are you favorite things about Autumn? Do you have any books are you looking forward to reading I hope that you enjoyed this Dreadful Bit of Information and until next time lovelies!

A Swatch Here and a Swatch There: Notoriously Morbid's Blood Countess Collection

*purchased*
 Hello Lovelies!
I am back again with some swatches from the new Blood Countess Collection , based off the Hungarian Countess Elizabeth Bathory, from Notoriously Morbid today. She was the most prolific female serial killer in history believing that bathing in the blood of young female virgins to retain her youth. While that is excessively extreme to try to obtain beauty, you don't have to go to such lengths to get this collection. While there were no animated gifs dealing with The Countess, I figured that Sweeney Todd was the next best thing.

Oh how I loved this movie!
**Please note that I am not glorifying the death's of the Countess' victims nor am I making light of the horror that she inflicted. She was and is a human monster and by studying her crimes and behavior we can capture other monsters that are out today. Now let's get back to happier subjects like makeup!**

Enough negativity, let's get back to makeup!
The Blood Countess is what I would consider a mini collection consisting of 3 shadows, a blush and a polish and is part of their permanent line so there is no need to get upset and bake someone into a pie in order to get this collection in your hot little hands.
Relax Sweeney and Mrs Lovett there is not need for violence in order to get this collection.
The three shadows are a gorgous combination of  purples and reds as well! I adore purple shadows and these are no exception. So, prepare yourself and your beauty budget and check out these swatches.. All swatches were done over Lunatick Cosmetic Labs Primer and taken in natural light.

Welcome to your grave beauty budget cause this is a gorgeous collection..
Gilded Mirror is described as a plum/mauve base with an airy gold overlay. It is the lightest of the three and the hint of gold gives it a nice sparkle in the sun.

Next we have Goblet of Red which is described as a rich merlot red with a  powerful blue green shift. It is very similar to the Autumn Flower shadow from the Out in the Black VC but darker and richer. So if you were sad about missing Autumn Flower definitely pick up this shadow.

Finally, last but not least is Nobel Rage which is describe on the site as a midnight black base layered with metallic amethyst and rose and gold sparkles. This is a gorgeous black packed full of sparkles the purple and the rose really shine in the sun as seen in this swatch.

Next we have a NEW Lipcraft color gloss in this collection.. I really love their glosses so I did a little dance when I opened my order.
Dance for the new lip pretty!!

Cachtice is described as a vermilion shimmer with medium to opaque coverage.  On me it is a hybrid color of salmon and and rose. I like how they stayed away from the blood red lip and stuck with something lighter and softer which can be worn everyday. The coverage is medium and can easily be built to a nice opacity.

I don't know about you I have always had a fondness for red polishes and Dungeon is just that...

Dungeon is described as a deep claret red with a subtle red shimmer. Dungeon reminds me of a deep dark brick red or even dried blood which is something that I can definitely see in a dungeon. It dries matte but looks just as amazing when a shiny top coat is placed on top of it. Just take a look...

You can see the hint of red sparkles in this photo

Finally we come to the blush in this collection, Sadist. Sadist is described as a soft rosy mauve with illusive gold shimmer. It can be built up for intense color or blended out for a softer delicate look.

Blushes always make me think of brides for some reason..
Personally, I always blend out my blushes since I am not a fan of intense color on the cheeks. I swatched  Sadist over a bare arm working from the lightest and blended out to the darkest.

Swatched going from light to dark and blended out..

It is hard to pick favorites out of this collection but if you want the whole collection it does come in the full size option for $30 and the mini for $17. Or you can pick up your favorites individually depending on your beauty budget.

Beauty Budgets, we all hate them.
Well, I hope that you enjoyed this swatch installment. You can pick up this collection  on Notoriously Morbid's site. You can also follow Notoriously Morbid on Facebook, Instagram and join their Facebook Fanpage for the latest news and sneak peeks on coming collections. Do you have any favorites out of this new collection? Until next time lovelies!
